COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised bottle.
Ingredients: Optic malt; chocolate malt; Goldings hops.
The pasteurised beer is sent to the Glenfiddich distillery and used to seal American white oak barrels; and then transferred to a marrying tun where the barrels are blended. The bottled beer is stored for a month before being distributed to shops. The period spent in the barrel, then the marrying tun and then the bottle gives the beer the name "Triple Matured".

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a fairly strong head. The aroma is malty and roasted, and the flavour is very bitter and roasted with a caramel finish. Overall a very nice strong beer.

33cl bottle received as an extra in trade. Thanks! Pours a deep, brown color with a tan head. Aroma is malty, whiskey, vanilla. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is sweet, mild, a little malty. This beer has potential, but the flavor is a bit underwhelming.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, ruby brown colour with a beige and firm medium-sized foamy head. Present oaky aroma with notes of vanilla on a slightly malty background with notes of cacao and a tinge of alcohol. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation. Caramely and oaky malty taste with notes of cacao and vanilla; moderately sweet malty finish with Whiskey flavours and a warming alcoholic touch. 07.VII.11

Clear bottle but boxed so i don’t expect any problems with that. Pours to a rich nutty brown red colour. No head to mention. Aroms of oak and vanilla with pretty strong. The dominant flavour is the oak with kind of detracts from the malt. I thought is was very thin on the palete. Slightly bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Dark amber colour, it had a rich sweet flavour of oak and hard liquor. Very tasty stuff.

Bottle from a Xmas present (from someone). It certainly is smooth: Mr Sheen table leg. Aroma is slight, with some sweetness. Notes of oak (durrr), vanilla, beet. Very feint Belgian reminiscences. I like it. The flavour is not ka-pow, but feels professional.

Originally rated December 2009. Limited bottling and comes in a blue box at the LCBO. Pours a dark copper colour with a creamy medium off-white head that leaves spotty lace. Aromas of vanilla cigarettes, chocolate, roasted malt and notes of almond. Lightly carbonated with a smooth mouthfeel and a little stickiness. The taste is pretty mild overall. Definitely do not feel the alcohol burn, with some flavours of the oak in the aftertaste. Also tasted is vanilla, but not much chocolate and mostly the wood. A pretty decent offering that is high in alcohol, but smooth all-around, and quite nice for the winter season.

330ml bottle in a nice box, matured for 99 days, bought at the Cornelius store in Edinburgh. Thin, cream-like head resting on top of a deep, mahogany coloured body. Aroma has got oak vanilla and toffee-like malts. Oak vanilla, honeyed malts, nuts and dried fruits in flavour. Nice and rounded bittersweet ending. Velvet mouth feel. Yeah. I like it, but one bottle should be enough for a while (hotel room, weatherbound in Edinburgh 01.12.2010).

0.33 l bottle, thanks Sampo! Reddish brown color. Sweet, caramelly and berryish aroma with red currant, gooseberry, vanilla and meat broth. Toffeish and berryish flavor with meat broth and vanilla. Somewhat surpringly, this is woody in a meaty berryish kind of way. Rich taste and not too sweet, one of the better in this series.
