Every ingredient we have used to brew this beer has been selected for its intensity of flavour. Amber and Cara malt have been added to give a rich, almost chewy, malt backbone and body and we have used a classic blend of aroma hops, Fuggles, Goldings and Styrian Goldings to add their signature vibrant characters.

I loved the smell of nuts, citrus, that come out of the bottle and more so when put in the glass. The color is a brown with a reddish hue Very minimal head as well. This beer is light which is not what i expected for a winter seasonal. Has a light body, but a lively taste in the mouth. Overall would recommend this to a hop head looking for something lighter.

BA transfer- Poured from bottle into Innis and Gunn glass Appearance - A nice deep/dark red color. A billowing head lasting for ~ 1 min prior to fading to a white laces coating on top of the beer. Smell - A Nice aroma of fruits and rum meets the noise at first. Quite strong, but give away to a bit of vanilla later on. Taste - A rum flavor initially gives away to a more citrusy flavor. This then fades again to a more alcohol/rum aftertaste. Mouthfeel - A fair amount of carbonation and a relatively expected body for the strength. Overall- A good brew although it looks and smells a bit better then it drinks. I am looking forward to trying others by them.

pours a med-dark copper brown with a smallish head, micro CO2, some active streams, sticky lacing. Sweet caramel malts and a hint of brandy on the nose. Attack: Yeasty carbonation, partially watery Mid-palate: 4/10-sweetness, malts, light aniseedy caramel Finish: cuts off-dry, mild whisky notes, light bitter-light malted cleanish finish. Overall pretty underwhelming. Not bold or flavourful enough for my tastes.

Clear amber - red beer with a decent off white head. Light dry palate. Minerals. Vanilla cream. Tangy fruit flavours flash by before a somewhat listless dry minerally finish. I&G are a guilty pleasure of mine but this one just passes muster.

12oz bottle poured into glass. Murky brown color, with a thin bubbly head. Very creamy and malty. Super smooth and very easy to drink. Slightly oaky with subtle hints of rum.

This s a review of the winter 2012 Deep copper pour. Claims to be a porter brewed with molasses. If it was a porter it was light. Molasses is prevalent Slight yeast and roasted malts. Drinkable but just ok ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is rather unimpressive with some sweet caramel malt, fruit, wood, and chemicals. The appearance is deep amber with a foamy head. The taste is better than the aroma with a yeasty quality to add to the wood, caramel and a light hop bitterness. The palate is smooth. Overall pretty decent.

[330ml bottle from Beers of Europe] Deep amber with a moderate cream head & moderate fizz. Up front are the trademark rich Innis & Gunn flavours that I love of oak, vanilla and (in this particular one) cream soda. However, the carbonation is stronger than usual, and the hops used here give a lemon flavour, neither of which go with the style of beer. In addition there was an unfortunate slight sourness in the finish. I still liked the barrel-aged flavours, but this was not one of the better I&G specials.

Tasted next to the original and rum cask last night. This easily has the most hop influence and last amount of barrel influence of the three beers. In fact, I’m not sure if this was barrel aged like the other two. Mellow spice and molasses flavor. Decent winter beer that’s still tasting alright here at the end of summer.

Quite surprised by this one, a crowd pleaser for the most part also .. . pours a ruby molasses .. low head, strong lacing .. . toffee and sweet light barrel, some sugar too with a light oak .. . pleasing quick mouth, enjoyable .. . . We cannot trade girl for trousers..
