pours a nice amber. Aromas of over ripe bananas, vanilla, and candy. sweet and malty up front...nice woody finish....good beer overall.

33 cl bottle, labeled as "Winter Beer 2012". Clear chestnut color with a ring of loose bubbles. Nose is vanilla, molasses, cola, oak and light booze. Flavor is a sweet mixture of the same on the front, then has a tannin-oaky finish. Medium body is smooth, sweet but not sticky, and has light carbonation.

Pours a clear red with a small off white top and some lace. Smell is loads of oaky vanilla. Taste is oak and vanilla with a hint of bannana on the finish. Also has a bad sour finish as well. Overall this beer is too sweet up front and all flavors don’t blend well together.

Loads of oaky vanilla as is usual for this brewer hiding an aroma of childhood sweets banana? Pale for style. Rich flavour full of malt with a hint of the bans a and a touch of bitterness

Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear mahogny to copper, medium tan head. Fruity and caramelly malt aroma, some wood and vanilla, alcohol, and floral hops. Medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. Semi dry with slightly harsh and tannic bitterness. Porter, really?

Det här var en komplex öl, smaken har inslag av fat, rostad malt och russin. I början av smakupplevelsen så tycker jag att ölen känns välbalanserad men i eftersmaken tycker jag att de rostade inslagen tar för mycket plats. Men, i vanlig ordning, var den god ändå.

Bottle, 7.4%. Dark caramel aroma, slightly burnt. Hint of vanilla? Clear dark brown colour. Small off-white head. The flavour has a distinct vanilla note to begin with. Becomes more malty and bitter, but rounds off with more vanilla. The body is a little thin, and the carbonation a bit rough. But not bad.

330 mL Bottle. Clear ruby-brown body with a frothy pale beige head that settles to a wispy ring leaving no lace, so some points lost here but an example of looks being deceiving as for all other departments. Aroma of dark fruits, oak, and crystal malt with a very subtle hint of molasses and a herbal note. The flavor is rich with sweet crystal and roasted malts with notes of oak and vanilla although this beer is somewhat light bodied for its class. Very oaky aftertaste with hints of treacle and molasses. A sweet and rich roasted malt with oak and a hint of molasses and subtle herbs in the finish. The cat’s meow for those cold damp overcast winter days with the wood stove going.

Bottle @ Bierfass, Århus. Pours hazy brown with a small white head. Aroma of malt, oak, brown sugar, hints of chocolate. Flavor is malt, dark fuits, brown sugar, oak. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation. 101112

330 ml bottle. Aroma very sweet, caramel, rum, butterscotch. This has got to be be brightest looking porter I’ve ever had. Tastes of rum, lots of burnt sugar, lots of alcohol. Ok, but will not get more bottles
