COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the first time we have brewed and oak matured a Porter, which has been imparted with great depth of flavour thanks to the additionof some roasted wheat, crystal malt and molasses (rich dark treacle). These flavour packed ingredients, along with our long, slow signature approach to maturation, have created a sublime beer that is perfect for cold, dark, winter nights.

Comes in their "Connoisseur’s Oak Collection 2012" at the LCBO with one of their glasses. Written "Carefully matured for 39 days prior to release" on bottom-front label. Pours a clean dark copper colour with a beige head, average retention and a little lacing. Aromas of bananas, prunes, dates at first, and then some light butterscotch, vanilla, nuts and alcohol. The taste is much milder though. Kind of dry from the hop, with flavours of vanilla, dark fruits and sugars. Too bad this one did not taste as good and powerful as the nose. Seems like a watered-down Imperial Porter.

Look: poured as brown , clear with good light hue . Lighter beige tanned top. Proper. 3+
Taste etc.... medium full bodied. plenty of malts with root , spice feel, vanilla with some chili pepper and hint of smoke. One of better brews from Innis.

Bottle bought in Sainsbury’s, Beaconsfield, Bucks. An amber/red coloured pour with a small off white head on top. Sweet, treacle aroma. Tastes sweet, treacle, caramel. Sickly sweet to be honest and hard to finish. I wouldn’t call this one a porter.

Bottle, bought @ YNWA Beershop, Kolding.
Pours red with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Aroma has mild oak, red berries, light salty, nuts, sweet malts. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, sugary, hints of chocolate, rye and nuts. Long, lingering vinious and oaky dry finish. A nice English Strong Ale - not a Porter.

StueyD (812) - Heacham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2012
A reddish-brown beer with a weak off-white head. A distinctive aroma, the vanilla and smoky woodiness from the barrels is met by a pear drop and bubblegum aroma. Medium-dry on the mouth. A prickly, slightly alcoholic taste, with resinous hops, or possibly an oaky barrel oily flavour are soon reined in by a smooth, vanilla led sweetness, with the rich, molasses taste bringing a bittersweet warmth to the finish.

Dark red with a thick off white head. Malty with toffee tones. Malt, fruit and caramel. Medium to full body with a nice, bitter sweet after taste.

Fruity and chocolaty notes and nice bitterness. Lacking the full body of a porter, but a nice flavor. Brownish red in color with a fading white head.

Taster at Toronto Christmas Market. Pale amber-brown pour. Sweet oaky/vanilla aroma with a little bit of molasses like character. Light bodied with a touch of spice and black pepper. A distinct fruitiness especially as it warms up. Pretty nice on a cold afternoon like this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 mL bottle. Pours a dark amber, looks light for a porter. A finger of beige head dissipates quick with minimal lacing. Aromas of malted wheat, molasses. Oak and vanilla on the palate with a touch of hops, dry cherries and a bit of cola. Medium carbonation and body. Slighty sweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Clear reddish, no head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, roasted, wood). Flavor almost heavy sweet, light spicy. Medium body, soma warming alcohol, quite flat.
