nuplastikk (459), Maryland, USA Sep 13, 2008 500ml bottle with plastic stopper. Pours a murky tan color. The aroma is sweet, not unlike brown sugar or cookie dough. Sweet malty taste as well, with some bocky characteristics. Perhaps a little Amber malt in there? Nice smooth caramel/butterscotch finish. A lot of the flavors of a stronger bocks, but way more drinkable at 5.6%. Good, unique Winter beer. Angeloregon (1969), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 2, 2008 Poured from a bottle a light copper-amber body with a hardy thick off-white head. I was surprised this was a light colored beer judging by label. Sweet, honey, nutty nose with lots of yeasty esters. Phenolic banana-clove presence. MIld roastiness and chewy honeyed finish. Pretty good one! beerguy101 (3488), Newark, California, USA Aug 1, 2008 This kellerbier pours a medium orange gold color from a 50cl bottle. Small to medium bodied white foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is herbal and earthy and slightly sweet. A medium bodied kellerbier. The malts are caramel and sweet with a bunch of banana flavor. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. A touch sweet, but there are some nice malts flavors going on here. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet. MakeItDrinkIt (66), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 14, 2008 Hazy golden color with a big white head. Aroma is lightly sweet like honey, and a bit of yeast. Flavor is a very nicely balanced blend of malts and hops, not too sweet, no bitter taste. Lightly roasted marshmallows, with a touch of honeysuckle. Finish is light but lingering...... bhensonb (3004), Woodland, California, USA Jul 11, 2008 500 ml. bottle from Liquid Solutions. Slightly hazy gold color with a multi-finger white head. Aromas of wheat and banana and veg/herb. Medium body with lightly frothy carbonation. Flavor is wheat (probably none in reality, but that’s it for my mouth) and herb/veg/hop with a hint of banana. Rather bready. Really refreshing in the heat, winter beer or no. Good drink. Finish is dryish, and there is definite herb/hop bitter.
