Pours golden / amber with a large white head. The aroma is clean and crisp with pale malt, breadiness and fairly rich. Medium body that starts rich, but then gets crisp with the nice semi-sharp carbonation hits. The flavor starts with fairly toasty malt for a helles, smooth lager maltiness, and very full rich flavor. The finish continues with everything in the initial taste, but a hint of hops creeps in. Nice helles.

It’s golden with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, hay, grain and light celluloses. The sweet flavor has the same notes and the finish is dry and slightly bitter.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, sweet malt, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120128]

(bottle) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of pale malts and herbal hops, slightly barnyardy, with a hint of earth and light roasted grain. flavour is mostly grain, with light notes of peaches and banana, light yeast and herbal hops, also slightly cardboardy. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

MacArthur Beverages, DC 500ml ($4): Pours a strange yellow with a brownish undertone with a white head. Aroma is a malty, sugary, and grainy mix. Taste is somewhat sweet. There are loads of grain. Has a kind of pale lager vibe more than I like from a Helles. My bottle seems fresh enough as it is not skunked at all, but this is not a good example of the style in my opinion.

Bottle @ Too many Geuze’s - only one toilet , Ulfborg 2012. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head. Sulphur, bread and grain. A bit sweet. Medium bodied.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet malt and hops.
