4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 22415brewery (313) - redmond, Washington, USA - MAR 20, 2010
Pours a wonderful light golden with a lingering cotton-like head that lingers throughout.
Soft, bready malt and restrained carbonation give this Helles a very rich and appropriate mouthfeel. Restrained noble hop bitterness, with a very slight hint of hop spice. Definite toast and bread-like flavor. Medium body.
Slightly cloudy in the glass and that is a very slight detraction from the overall beer. Overall a great example of a Helles Bock.

Beer poors light golden with a nice white head. Cabronation is very strong and adds nicely to the impression of the beer. Aroma is just of german malts and this comes through in the flavor as well. Flavor is simple but enjoyable with a mild sweetness. Overall this beer is very nice and I would definately puchase again for a German Beer fix.

500ml swingtop. Pours a light golden, very light chill haze, with a big yet pillowy and loose white head. Light honey, grassy nobel hops, little bit of corn and big amounts of cracker/white bread malt. Light to medium light feel, carbonation is almost creamy. Light sweet, touches of honey, malty...yet light ’crackery’ malt, smooth and even mild nobel hops from mid to finish. Easy drinking, enjoyable and to style.
3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 LiebeBier (808) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - APR 4, 2009
Cloudy almost hefe looking. Sweet syrup aroma. The flavor was completely unexpected given the sour notes I got in the aroma. Earthy malt base with a simple but delicious finish. Perfect carbonation.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 vyvvy (3268) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Pours golden / amber with a large white head. The aroma is clean and crisp with pale malt, breadiness and fairly rich. Medium body that starts rich, but then gets crisp with the nice semi-sharp carbonation hits. The flavor starts with fairly toasty malt for a helles, smooth lager maltiness, and very full rich flavor. The finish continues with everything in the initial taste, but a hint of hops creeps in. Nice helles.

500ml bottle. Pale transparent yellowish color with a very healthy head. Not really an impressive aroma, very Eastern European. The taste is pretty thin and straightforward, though pretty true to style. Nice sweet and creamy yeasty finish. An OK example of a Helles, middle of the road stuff.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 johntreeter (126) - Greenwood, Indiana, USA - MAY 9, 2008
A nice bright golden pour with a two finger white foamy head that disapated rather quick and left good lacing. Bread notes in the aroma with a hint of grass. A mild crisp flavor and mellow balance between initial sweetness and mild bitterness. A good warm weather beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 womencantsail (6902) - Garbage Grove, California, USA - JAN 23, 2011
A: The pour is a clear golden color with a nice big white head.
S: Starts off with a bit of corn, followed by floral and grassy hops. There are some nice pale, cracker-like malt aromas as well. Pretty simple and straight forward.
T: The hops are pretty evident on the flavor and are quite grassy and floral. The corn is again there, but a pretty solid showing of the pale/cracker malts, too.
M: The body is light to medium with a moderate level of carbonation.
D: A simple and straightforward Helles. Easy to drink, for certain, but not super flavorful, unfortunately.
