Bottle; poured a ruddy gold color with a medium to large, dense, long lasting head. Aroma of sweet malt, vanilla, and grain; a light touch of fruit. Flavor was soft and mellow; sweet malt and bread with a touch of fruity vanilla. I really enjoyed the palate; light, but coating. Good summer beer with some nice characteristics.

50 cL bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Cornish and dry grainy aroma. Flavour is mild acidic malty with a dry breadish base impression. Dry and malty finish.

500 ml. bottle. Pours a thick lasting white head, over a slightly cloudy, pale yellow (SRM 5) body....nose is mild malts (cereal, bread) with a bit of op finish.....taste is heavy cereal (Grapenuts) with a light hop finish....mouth feel is light, carbonation low. This is very heavy on the cereal, grain side of the malts and is like drinking a bowl of breakfast cereal.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, honey, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and bread as well as light notes of straw.

MotherFn’ Gusher. Foam all over the my pants and floor. Hazed light golden color with a smaller tight bubbled off-white head. Decent look even after the mess. Malt, grain and vanilla aromas. A bit worty scent as well as a bit of floral hopsack. Interesting, but not real clean. Wheat bread dough flavors in the front. Husky and herbal/floral hops in the middle and into the finish. Linger is lightly sweet and and again a bit grainy. While I think this beer should have some grainy character this one still seems a bit to husky and crude.

Swing-top brought back from State Line. Straw color with a lacing, pillowy, brilliant white head. Cellar and lemon meringe with a light vanilla topping. Very malt-forward nose. Lightly bitter and lovely dominant pale malts. Nice citrus accents. Very light body, smooth feel, great endless chugger, coming close to a Kellerbier. Worthy!

Bottle from Sam’s in Downers grove, IL. This pours a hazy pale gold body with a lofty, rocky head and pastes the glass with heavy lacework. It has a sweet, grainy malt aroma and a dash of floral hop scents. Very drinkable. The flavor reflects the nose, but it has a full, rounded taste that goes down easily. Worth repeating.

Sampled on 9/1/08. This Kellerbier pours a medium orange gold color from a 50cl swing top bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is cereal and grain, a touch herbal and floral. A medium bodied ZKL (Zwickel/Keller/Landbier). How is that for an abbreviation? The malts are cereal and grainy, bready and a little caramely. The hops are spicy and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Kind of a run of the mill German lager, well its much better than that, but very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and very smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Gold color with a 3-finger firm white head (which left rings upon dissolution). Aroma is lightly bready with a fair amount of noble hop. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is lightly sweet malt, a tad yeasty/bready, and the hop is not so strong as expected. Quite strong in flavor and aroma, but it is not intense, just really there. A very tasty thing in a non-intensive way.
