The quest to create Community Beer Company led us to evaluate many locations around Dallas for nearly two years before selecting our home on Inspiration Drive, near downtown on Stemmons Freeway. What a street name for our dream brewery to be built!! Without inspiration, we wouldn’t be here to enrich our local community with world-class craft beer. In honor of all things inspirational, we offer this very special Belgian Style Dark Strong Ale. The deep ruby hue of this ale comes from the use of several English and Belgian crystal malts as well as a touch of roasted malt. The rich malt character is balanced by a high ABV, a blend of highly attenuative and expressive Belgian yeast strains, and just the right amount of hops.

Deep brown color with a big foamy head. Sweet ripe fruit nose. This is a sweet beer with malt powder, light brown sugar, some buttered toast, puffed wheat and toffee. Fruity flavors of really ripe apples and plums. The alcohol is very well disguised. Decent American Belgian strong.

Pour: Opaque dark brown....a little cloudy. Nice, long lasting frothy head. Smell: Dark malts, yeast & alcohol. Taste: Dark malts, hops, yeast, raisin and light chocolate. A slight alcohol bite! Dark AND Hoppy w/o plenty of yeast! It is a filtered beer- which keeps it from being overly rich! Would be great on a cold night or to go into storage. An A dark beer

Pours a hazy reddish brown with off-white head. Some dark fruits mostly on the nose; follows onto the palate. Fairly one-dimensional, but has a little maltiness on the finish.

At the TapRoom from a bottle .... Beautiful color of caramel with an off-white, light tar colored head. Nice, tight, creamy bubbles with a moderate retention .... fizzes out a little soon for the style. The aroma is malty with a hint of banana and caramel ... The fruitiness of flavor is a bit surprising after the smell, but it is quite enjoyable. A lovely finish of yeast and subtle hops ... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
