Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 14, 2001 One of those macrobrewed British IPAs (like Deuchars) - far too light for the style and not very interesting. oh6gdx (5903), Vaasa, Finland Aug 29, 2007 Cask@The Chamberlain. Copper coloured, not much head. wooden fruity and slightly spicy thing. Flavour is quite the same along with big woodenness. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 19, 2007 Cask. Clear orange to amber pour wearing a fine off-white head with good lacing. Kinda oily, flowery nose bearing mostly leafy aromas. Obviously focusing on bitterness more than aromatics. Orangey, biscuity palate with a mild toastiness. Fruity, generic malts. Just simplistic and sweetish in the end, the hops promises never get through. The bitterness does not slice through the sweetness. Light-medium bodied, little carbonation at all. Hildigöltur (5052), København Ø, Denmark Aug 24, 2003 [Cask] Flowery hop aroma. The finish is not as bitter as one would have expected from an IPA. It is rather sweet and honeyish. bierkoning (4738), La Tropica, Netherlands Aug 30, 2003 Keg. Pear aroma with just a bit of hops. Malty flavor, even a bit sweetish, with mustard and peach. Only a hint of hoppiness in the bland aftertaste. Thin, watery and boring IPA that doesn't really deserve that name.
