COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Using all-natural ingredients, this deep, slightly smoky porter evokes a hint of blueberry in aroma and flavor; just enough to entice the senses. The smokiness of the malt in combination with the sweetness of the blueberries ultimately create an incredibly balanced beer.

From a bottle poured a brown color with a small amount of head. Light smokey toasted malty flavor with a quick finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small fizzy dark brown head that faded to a partial covering. The nose is huge and somewhat artificial smelling blueberries over a nice chocolate and lightly roasted maltiness. There’s a light touch of licorice as well. Smells pretty enticing actually. The flavor is a bit over the top at first with the blueberry, but the finish is pretty malty and Chocolaty and overpowers the extract taste. On the sweeter side, but it works pretty well with the fruit. Medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation. Not the best beer, but pretty tasty for a fruit extract beer.

Bottle - from sampler pack. Nearly pitch black with tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and blueberry. Pretty good - some blueberry flavor intially but ends with strong roasty flavor.

Bottle from the Andersons. Pours inky black with the stench of blueberries. Let me add that whoever first thought it was a good idea to add blueberries to beer should be kicked in the nuts. The blueberries dominate everything. It’s a gimmick beer from a gimmick brand.

12 ounce bottle, $7.99 a 6-pack. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with an inch tan head that didn’t stay around for too long. Not much lacing, either. The brew smells mostly like artificial blueberry juice or syrup, along with some other berries, roasted malt, chocolate, and a slight medicinal flavor. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma, it tastes mostly like an artificial (maybe sugar free or sugar substitute) blueberry juice drink, and there’s also some chocolate, coffee, and other berry flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit coating with moderate carbonation. This certainly isn’t one of the better fruit beers I’ve had. It’s not exactly awful, but I sure didn’t enjoy this beer either.

A pleasant surprise from cheapdark!!! Thanks!! I agree with him, I like the marketing use of words, Intercourse PA on the east side of PA. Poured into a flute, as the description said. Aroma of roasted malts, hints of chocolate hops, and fruity flavors. Beginning taste of nuts, even chocolate flavors were detected. Medium body for a porter, some blueberries floating around, and tart even coffee flavor on the finish. This brew has some unique complexity. Again, it was a surprise, thanks again Big D, I owe you one or two!!

I want to congratulate lion on the use of words, even tho I know where the real intercourse PA is located. Nice play on pennsylvania words. From a screw top bottle I get an unexpectedly nice choco pour, dark and tan choco moose alabaster head attractive. Good stouty aroma from the start. Taste is rather smooth with weird coffe in there. Easy, almost some fruit in there. Roasty, one of the darkest flavored beers I got from lion. Some licorice in the finish. Taste just slightly above room temperature. OK, now I think some blueberry is coming, heheh, thru. Would probably be a good beer on its own merit without the fruit thing.
