33cl bottle in very basic flower motif paper wrapping. Label says 7%, not 8,5% ABV and states this beer was conceived and brewed by and at the Proufbrouwerij, Lochristi (not Boelens)? Pours a dense cloudy orange-brown with a huge fluffy, porous and sizzling head. There is an immediate saccharine-syrupy nose to the foam alone, which promises not much good. Sticky, oily and dry palate, which makes this hard to drink, even sip; hard to distinguish the yeast bitterness from the added flowers vegetable bitterness (makes me eager to try Fantome’s Pissenlit for a positive counterexample, though). Taste is unbalanced between dry&doughy, artificially sweet (coffee sweetener), herbal honey and undeterminatedly vegetavive. Confused concoctions like this give me a headache, a sore sticky throat, and Belgian brewing’s proud lack of all purity laws a bad name (let alone the Proef Brouwerij who waived this through on who knows whose orders). Slightly redeeming qualities (which set it apart from truly subhuman sugarliquids like Mongozo): no alcohol burn, some brewing quality and hop bitterness buried under those layers of skullsplittingly cheap sugars. Glad I sampled this myself before contemplating this as a present to my mother-in-law - po(u/o)r drain!

orange / amber hazy color. white thick head. smells flowery, of malt sweetness, fresh of rhubarb and honey, a bit like a wheat beer. fully body, light carbonation, very sweet, malty taste. silky texture, tastes of banana and a bit flowery. too sweet. I had this at about 12-15 degree celsius, a bit colder would have been better.

330ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Pours a dark orange color which is a bit cloudy. Forms a big and bubbled persistent head. Many spotty lacings are left in the glass S: Sweet, flowery and spicy too. Belgian earthy yeasts. Notes of honey, candy sugar and caramel. Cinnamon, vanilla and pepper T: Very sweet upfront. Strong notes of caramel malts, Belgian yeasts, honey, cinnamon, pepper, vanilla. End is slightly bitter. In overall, too sweet in the mouth M: Heavy, creamy and molasses body. Medium carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste O: Low drinkability due to its strong sweetness. Besides that, classic spiced belgian strong ale [ BA Review @ 3/23/2013 ]

Blumig und süß mit etwas Hefe und Hopfen. Getreidige Überladung mit einem Abschluss, der an Süßstoff erinnert. Trinkbar, jedoch irgendwie derb.

Bottle from the Interspar in Kufstein. The beer pours out in a hazy light brownish colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of Belgian yeast and cloves. Taste of Belgian yeast, grains, bananas, herbs, bread and green nuts. High carbonation. Expected more, especially a better taste and also some flowery hints in the taste.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear gold. Thick, sticky, dense, white head. Banana. Yeasty bread. Sweet flora. Some cinnamon like spice. Taste is fairly sweet, with a little, but possibly not enough, yeasty dry. Palate is thick, and sweet. Finish is sweet, and spicy.

Fantasy beer ’enriched with flowers and plants’, with light beige moussy, thick head and deep peach blonde colour, cloudy. Sweet fruity and flowery nose, mandarin, pear, banana, honey, caramel, aromatic spices (liquorice, aniseed, cinnamon), rose petals. Soft and very sweet onset, honeyish and sugary, banana, in the end accompanied by spices (star aniseed?), a bit resinous, staying sweet till the end with very low hop bitterness. Interesting and original but a stereotypical "ladies’ beer", which is not necessarily a bad thing.
