Gushing to towering headS (as in plural) over golden beer with a green shine and plenty of UFO’s. Vegetable and, indeed, flowery nose, some pale malts, speciality grain. Again spicy - and speciality grain in the taste. Some neutral hops. Ends on some vegetable oil and alcohol. High carbonation, obviously, and medium bodied, quite slick. Not undeserving, even when the gushing had me worried the old demons were returning.

0.33l bottle from beermerchants.com Wrapped in something that looks like a newspaper, this beer pours a cloudy orange-ish body packed with tons of small floaters that’s making it almost impossible to look through the glass. It also has a nice little head that’s lacing quite elegantly down the glass. On the aroma this one has tones of flowers, a strong fruity sweetness, some caramel, mild bread/malty and a hint of snow. Not extreme, but quite nice. The flavor was not quite so nice. It’s first of all extremely sweet, and it has absolutely no bitterness what so ever to balance the extreme sweetness. Also feels kinda flat and dull with a at first oily mouthfeel, but this turns quickly in to a some what watery thing. Strange and grassy flavors, lemongrass perhaps? I’m not totally sure what this is, but for me way to sweet and actually a bit unpleasant. 25.03.2012

31/I/2012 33cl bottle @ De Bierminners chocolate beer pairing (Waasmunster) - BB: n/a (2012-79)

Pretty cloudy orange beer, big aery head, unstable, adhesive. Aroma: yeasty, very ripe banana, muddy, bready, rotten oranges. MF: low but ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet sugary start, fruity, citrus, some honey, sweet malts, overripe banana, some citrus. Reminds me of a Hefeweizen. Aftertaste: muddy bitterness, touch of banana peel, some pepper, orange peel.

33cl bottle @ home. Hazy orange color with a lot of yeast particals in it. Nice full white head. Smell sweet and some herbs or spices. Taste sweet, not much more. Low to medium carbo and body. Not really interesting in my opinion.

Orange amber colour with a big white head. Aroma is quite fruity, orange and a bit of malt. Maybe yeasty too. Taste is very sweet with flowery elements. Medium bodied quite boozy. Slightly oily in the mouth. Has been in the cupboard for a while so I think it has matured and boozed up a bit. Aftertaste is very sweet. Remember it being a bit sharper previously.

Bottle from Theatre of Wine, Greenwich. Dusty orange pour with an off-white head. Tangerine and mango aromas. Quite zesty. Sweet and fruity flavours. Maybe too sweet for my liking. An odd one this one. Bearable but only just.

Profumata, erbacea, abbastanza complessa al palato, ma per chi come me ama le birre amare è da evitare. Troppo dolce...

Bel colore arancio-ambrato con cappello di schiuma bianca. Aroma netto floreale. In bocca inizialmente non dispiace, poi diventa davvero troppo dolce. Comunque non male.

Bevuta alla spina all’Irish. Versa schiuma abbondante ma poco persistente, color oro carico, profumo erbaceo, sapore decisamente dolce, dopo un pò stucchevole. Particolare
