Rastacouere (5202), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 6, 2006 Clear pale gold and still. Rather slick textured mead with a medium body and considerable residual sugars. Pleasantly floral nose with simple soft creamy honey emerging through waxy and fitting alcohol notes. Waxiness resembles plastic a bit too much in mouth and could use some work on, but otherwise, a sweet and tasty, well focused mead. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jun 10, 2006 Sample from the bottle (375 ml) at the Mondial de la Bière in Montreal, 2006. Pours a very pale, thick yellow, no carbonation, fairly thick legs in the glass.....well-constructed only faintly allcohollic wildflower honey-apple aroma, with floral elements increasing as it warms....the body is very very smooth, no boozy harshness, sweet but never cloying, with a nice warming finish....gorgeous mouthfeel, velvety and candy-like on the tongue, sort of a melt-in-your-mouth soft caramel sensation, incredibly easy to drink despite its heft. Probably the best mead from this producer. heemer77 (3611), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jun 5, 2006 Sampled at Mondial 2006. Light gold colored body. The aroma was sweet pears and flowers with the honey. The taste was very sweet with honey, sweat and leather. Easy to drink and agood example of a sweeter mead. beerbuzzmontreal (2674), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Mar 18, 2005 Sampled at Yer Mad. Clear pale gold color. Mild honey aroma. Medium honey flavor with a smooth texture. piscator34 (889), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Feb 1, 2005 Rating #300. Very pale gold in colour with a strong clover honey aroma. Some aromatic notes of citrus and alcohol as well. It has an unexpected amount of viscosity considering its light aroma. Nice sweet honey flavor, with elements of citrus and lychee. Reminds me more of an ice wine than something which resembles beer, but this is still some really good stuff!
