Musty honey with some alcohol in the pungent nose. Clear, very pale, almost transparent body that leaves no legs on the glass. Dry, floral honey flavour is perfumey, pungent and lingering. Strong alcohol warming but somewhat syrupy in texture. Sampled at Mondial 2006.

Rastacouere (5923) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 27, 2006
Intermiel’s drier mead declines more white wine characteristics. Extremely pale still golden appearance. Burnt honey plays around nuts and almons in the nose. Vague dryish leafiness soak up in grapey acidity and the flavours don’t wander too far from their origins and stay in line to remain easily approachable. Light bodied, dry palate.

muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - JUN 10, 2006
Sample from the bottle (375 ml) at the Mondial de la Bière in Montreal, 2006. Pale oily transparent yellow-gold with faint thin legs rapidly disappearing....cidery-farmy nose is rustic and strange but not entirely pleasant alongside the strong fuesel alchol notes....thick, boozy, oily-syrupy body is rather medicinal and metallic, sweet at the front edging to very very dry and somewhat astringent to finish.....easily the weakest of Intermiel’s products and one to avoid unless you’re a completist.

heemer77 (4799) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUN 5, 2006
Sampled at Mondial 2006. Their dry mead. Teh color was a very pale yellow. The aroma was medicinal and herbal with a hint of apples. There was also some floral type character. The taste was alcoholic and dry. This was also very light. There was some fowers and a little bit of medicine.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 8/20
luckygirl (1221) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 12, 2006
Sampled at International Mead Fest, Boulder, Co. The mead poured clear and nearly colorless—just a tint of yellow to the liquid. The aroma had light notes of herbs and honey and unfortunate trace notes of chemical and plastic. The flavor was moderately sweet, lightly acidic, with a long, moderately acidic, moderately sweet, lightly bitter finish with an unclean, metallic aftertaste. The body was medium, the texture was watery, it was uncarbonated and there was a light alcoholic feel in the finish.
