Had this at the brewery, then bought a bottle. I guess at the brewery I missed how this is THE FOULEST SMELLING THING IMAGINABLE. Seriously, it’s so bad I don’t even want to put my nose in the glass again to get some notes. It smells like 3 month old dirty diapers. Absolutely horrendous. It tastes pretty decent, and pours with nice legs, but I ain’t goin’ anywhere near this stuff again. Yuck!

Semi-dry version. Another rather simple mead from Intermiel, this one also shows a clear golden color, very pale and still. It offers more nutty flavours than most and shines mostly through its floral aromatics which differentiates it from most. Woody, limey, fieldish. Light bodied, mostly dry, but the honey here leaves a souvenir in the post taste.

muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - JUN 10, 2006
Sample from the bottle (375 ml) at the Mondial de la Bière in Montreal, 2006. Medium gold with smooth apparent legs coating the glass....aroma is at first harshly alcoholic but settles quickly into a fresh-cut oakiness, light honey and a subtle hint of berries.....body is woody and somewhat hard, quite dry with honey component much subdued, minerallic and a bit citrusy-salty (lime-orange) towards the finish....body is lightly syrupy and strongly acidic....interesting take, but not very palatable to me; almost certainly the dryest, least-sweet mead I’ve sampled.

Sampled at Mondial 2006. The body was dark gold. The aroma was deifnite honey with some flowers. A very intense aroma. The mouthfeel was fairly dry with lots of honey in the background. There was also some flowers and mild cherries.

tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 24, 2004
Floral, lightly alcoholic aroma. Still, viscous, deep blonde, white wine appearance. Deep honey flavour is quite sweet and pleasant. Fairly light, dry, wine-like body. Sampled at Vices et Versa with muzzlehatch.
