COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by everyone’s favorite member of the animal kingdom. This Farmhouse ale was fermented very warm with 50 pounds of Florida honey. This created a dry and spicy but sweet style ale that “don’t care”…

2/13/13. On tap at the brewery. Clear golden copper pour with a nice khaki head. Light, sweet aroma with definite honey, some metallic aspects, a touch of rubbery phenolics, and lingering malts. Sweet honey entrance with a touch of metal again, a hint of spice, and another touch of that rubbery aspect. Not bad.

Pours a hazy golden orange on tap with thin white head that leaves little to no lacing. Aroma is yeast, less farmhouse and more phenol, with sweetness from the honey, and light citrus characters. Taste follows, but more sweet than yeast, but an odd tongue and finish. Not what I expected from a saison, but not horrible.

On draft at Intuition. Pours a hazy yellow with orange highlights and an off-white head. Nose is definite honey, slight pepper, and sweet malt with some yeast and light fruit. Flavor is similar with big honey and sweet malt that lingers into the finish. Interesting saison, the addition of honey adds some twists to the normal saison profile, but still an interesting beer.

Tap at Intuition. Scant to practically no head formation on a clear golden pour. Nose is oddly phenolic- probably the same incorrect yeast strain being used for their "Belgian" styles. Decent honey comes though with heavy white sugar and mint. Taste is mostly sugar and raw, earthy grain with Irish oatmeal character. Stinging, high carbonation is distracting. Chalkier, odd palate.
