can @ Grassroots Natural Market / Jacksonville FL --- Clear deep orange-copper amber, solid smooth white head, sheets of lace. Aroma of mild hops and malt. Taste is caramel malt that adds citrus hops and carbonation on the swallow, moving smartly to a finish in which the hops dominate at first, but as it fades, the malt can be tasted in the background. A solid, big-bodied, cleansing, tasty IPA. Recommended.

chinchill (2624) - South Carolina, USA - MAR 25, 2015
on tap at the brewery (from May 2012 notes) Poured a crystal clear amber with a very durable off-white head that left good lacing. Aroma and flavor reflect more piney than citrusy hops; so not my ideal. Some herbal aspects mid-taste on. Moderately bitter (for style). Body is smooth but a tad too light. Very good carbonation. O: a solid IPA with no apparent flaws but not particularly outstanding in any way.

Pours a slightly hazy orange golden color with just off-white head. Citrus, floral pine and grassy notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice resinous hop bite and a bit of hop spice.

Can at home while visiting Jacksonville. Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Big fresh piney lemon hoppy aroma. Medium body, medium carbonation. Piney resinous stuff, lemon, grapefruit, light lemon sherbet... Not particularly complex but solid - nice bitter finish.

On tap at brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is floral hop and pine. Thin mouth with sweet pine and light resin.

This is actually a decent East Coast West Coast IPA. Not malty but has an IPA bite. Also has a decent mouthfeel and lasting head with good lacing. Aroma is very nice and hoppy. This isn’t a citrus or cat urine hop flavor just more bittering. Worth drinking.

Look: pours a light gold or dark yellow. Very clear. White head. Smell: citrus fruit. Grapefruit. Orange. Lemons. Pine and grass. Taste: grapefruit. Heavy citrus. Lemon. Pine. Grass. Feel: dry on the front end. Nice bitterness to it but not overwhelming. Medium carbonation. Overall: good beer. Easy drinker. Looking for more fruit from a west coast IPA. But still good. Caramel, nuts, cereal, alcohol. Favorite local IPA. Very drinkable, slight alcohol flavor, rich and hoppy.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with small white head. Aroma is floral and grassy. Bitter in flavor with grassy notes. Not bad.
