3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
can @ Grassroots Natural Market / Jacksonville FL --- Opaque brown/black color, big smooth 1" brown head, sheets of lace. Taste is toasted malt with chocolate and coffee that moves through the palate to a mildly hopped finish. A modicum of alcohol warmth well after the swallow. A solid Stout.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
As I’m in Jackconville it seems proper and correct that I go with a local brew for my 2000th rate. Anyway, can (8.5%) at home while in Jacksonville. Pours a dark reddy brown with a foamy tan head. Decent aroma - lots of coffee, chocolate and some grassy stuff. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Caramel, leafy, grassy stuff, coffee, choc, toffee, lemon... Its a bit thin but the booze is well integrated and its a tasty drop. Nice.

Draft sample at the brewery. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Nice coffee and roasted malt aroma. Nice flavor with some sweetness and a hint of bitterness from dark malts and espresso. Nice.

Chocolate notes. Roast in the aftertaste. Very smooth. Might be my favorite Intuition beer.

Draft... Pours black with a small, creamy, beige head. Good retention. The aroma is über chocolaty. Full-bodied and creamy with buzzing carbonation. The flavor is quite well-balanced, chocolaty and roasty. Reminiscent of an 85%-cocoa bar of chocolate. Finishes carbonic and mildly bitter. Ridiculously drinkable for the relatively high ABV.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2015 can. nearly black, some ruby highlights, under a large, creamy, brown head. nicely sweet (almost like a milk stout), nutty, milk chocolate aroma. warming, but it still could fit in the regular stout category at 8%. flavor is moderately sweet. some brown nutty notes, some molasses from brown sugar, a hint of red apple from sugar maybe. mineral harshness. nice full body and creamy.

Coffee aroma and dark brown color. Small bubble head. Balanced beginning followed by heavy alcohol flavor then hop bitterness. Aftertaste lingers.

Tap at Brewers Pizza. Very dark pour with a clingy beige head. Coffee and chocolate, rich palate. A winner.

4.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Received from an old friend in Jacksonville -- Poured from a can into a prairie snifter. Black pour lots of tiny bubbles rising up, off white head. Aroma is roasty, sweet, chocolate and booze. When you drink you ate meet with a smooth super creamy opaque, black liquid that was imbued with a hint of roast and lots of character. I may be biased, but this is a hell of a stout.

Fairly roasted nose with dark coffee notes, if anything. Flavor has some dark chocolate and burnt coffee flavors with more roast. Not bad but definitely heavy.
