Very delicate beer. Low bitterness. Drinks like a session ale, but higher alcohol.

Foggy straw color with a thin white head. Dusty, fruity aroma. Tart, clean, good balance, light minerality. Just a little fruitiness, very muted sweetness. Medium body, fine grained carbonation. On tap, Proof Production Facility.

Tap at Intuition in Jax, FL. Pours a clear, deeper gold with a small, white head. Hefeweizen yeast/estery profile with spices and bananas. Taste is moderately chalky, papery, hefeweizen clove notes. Some background vinegar notes. I would probably switch this to German Hefeweizen for category since the yeast profile is dead wrong for Belgian Ale. Papery palate. Not a fan.

Pint glass at the brewery taproom. This beer was the combined effort of Intuition’s brewers and CASK club member Nathan Fulton, who won the Belgian beer category competition and the opportunity to brew 10 barrels of his beer at Intuition. It was a fabulous recipe, with orange peel and grains of paradise spice in a belgian pale ale. Fruity, spicy, malty, and a wonderful belgian funk made this beer absolutely delicious. It was the best beer on the menu for the night (Oct 8). Congratulations, Nathan and Ben for such a collaboration and a wonderful beer!
