Light hoppy smell...taste is 40% malt 60% hops...but straightforward...only a single medium strong flavor up front mostly of citrus hops....no diversity though...with john at bar in st Augustine...

12oz can from Total Wine in Jensen Beach. Hazy pour with a spongey white head. Fruits and caramel battling for control. Some citrus, slightly sour. Blend is good, low alcohol presence and solidly carbonated. The finish is to the sweet side of bittersweet. 13.8

Keg at the brewpub, 19/02/15. Golden amber topped with a moderate off white swirl, Nose is pale malts, straw, citric sherbets, a touch musty/fusty - not smelling too fresh for the style despite being on tap at the rewery. Taste comprises melon, citric peel, lightly toasted bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Lacklustre, never got out of first gear.

On tap at the Jax Mellow Mushroom. Liked this one a good bit. Some earthiness and carmel to it and a nice dose of piney hop flavor and finish. Good beer.

pint at a Florida pub very near brewery (from March 2011 notes). . A fine clear amber color covered by a thin head that soon dissipates to some islands and a ring, but leaves some lacing on glass. {a second sample several monthas later had a more durable head). Dark for a pale ale, the appearance accurately indicates a boldy flavored pale ale. A nice hoppy aroma with obvious citrus and piney notes. The flavor is more citrusy and less piney than the aroma. It is also more hoppy than their Simcoe IPA (consumed just 2 days earlier). Its really quite bitter and hoppy for a pale ale and will appeal to many people who like IPAs. Good to very good, but I’d like it better with a bit more malt.
