Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 3 December 2009 as Homecoming Scotland. Gold colour. Biscuity malt aroma. Also some cereal. First thought was Weetabix but perhaps Scots porridge is more appropriate. Rather grainy flavour too. Not overwhelming enough to be unpleasant but not really what is expected (or desirable) in a Golden ale. Wonder whether there was something not quite right here.
