[cask at the Stockbridge Tap, Edinburgh] Released to co-incide with Homecoming Scotland 2009, a dry and biscuity golden bitter with a generous white head. Almost oaty on the taste, the biscuity malt really comes across. Nicer the more it went down, something nutty in there as well. Really quite nice [15022009]

Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 3 December 2009 as Homecoming Scotland. Gold colour. Biscuity malt aroma. Also some cereal. First thought was Weetabix but perhaps Scots porridge is more appropriate. Rather grainy flavour too. Not overwhelming enough to be unpleasant but not really what is expected (or desirable) in a Golden ale. Wonder whether there was something not quite right here.

Medium-bodied with notes of yeast, grass and mild citric fruits. Grainy mouthfeel. Salty and grassy medium-bitter finish with notes of dough, yeast and orange-peels.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear BF 09. Amber colour, lasting thin off white head. Yeast aroma, it’s an ok beer. Little bit empty in the mouth, but ok satsuma and yeast characters.

Frovigalning (1471) - Örebro, SWEDEN - DEC 20, 2009
It poured a hazy pale golden liquid with a small white foam, that left a thick even layer of lacing. Weak smell with a hint of grassy hops. Very smooth mouthfeel. Medium bitterness that lasted a long time. A classic bitter with a taste of grassy hops. Enjoyable and easy to drink.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Caramel, bit of green apple, perhaps some diactyl, subtle grassy hop. Didnt get this one right.
