@ Canonsgate. Golden colour. Loose head. Toasted butter aroma. Tastes more like toast, with light butter. Very light body - probably a bit too watery.

Cask at GBBF 2011, nice example of the genre, malty, a little bready, some hop nose, nothing outstanding though.

Cask at SRAF ’11. Pale yellow amber, white head. Sweet bready malt nose. Palate has some grassy hope, with a hint of bready malts. Bittersweet linger. Classic example of the style and therefore (in my opinion) pretty boring.

On cask at The Bow Bar, Edinburgh. A clear straw coloured beer with a lacy white head that didn’t last. Yeasty with a few hops on the nose. Tastes a little of hops but more yeast and caramel flavours. Some lingering bitterness with a fairly dry finish. OK

@ Cannon’s Gate, Edinburgh, they don’t oversparkle! Bright gold and glassy with stable natural head. Butter in the aroma is like a hot buttered muffin. Argh. The malts are ok and doughy. The palate is soft and sticky. Sweet, doughy, muffin beer. The diacetyl is tolerable in the flavors.
