Clear medium amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, nutty, dusty, light to moderate hoppy, orange. An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The flavor is sweet, malty, and sligtly lemony, from a good malt blend.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2009 From cask at Clockwork. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small yet dense off-white head. Dark fruity and roasted malty aroma. Light breadish and dark fruity flavoured. Holds a mild liqourice like note to a mild roasted malt base. Mild spiced malty yet also with a light acidic note arising out of the malt flavours. Bitter and dry finish.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Very dark, almost mahogany with a discreet off-white head. Extremely aromatic both from the malts and the very nice aroma hops. Dry, fresh in both nose and flavour. Pronounced bitterness. An excellent ale alltogether. 240205

Cask@GBBF2007. Copper colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel, hops and soem earthyness. Flavour is wood, slight fruits and earth. Very mouthdrying brew.

Cask @ GBBF 2006. Amber colour with a tan head. Malty aroma with some smokey hints. Malty roasted fruity flavor with some caramel hints. Long bitter aftertaste.

Dark amber ale, misty. Light malt aroma. Smooth, inspired marriage of roasted malt and hop. Good palate, bitter and aromatic, persistent.

Bottle, 4.7%. Slightly farty aroma. Clear chestnut colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour starts off malty, turning roasted with a sort of spicy malt note. Later comes a mild grassy hoppiness followed by a medium bitterness which is quite clean.
