2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 pivo (2540) - GERMANY - MAR 17, 2005
CASK: Slight sulfury nose, ruddy copper color, low head. Sweet caramelly malt with low bitter that is slightly drying. Odd British-style ale that didn’t quite do it for me.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DrBeer (825) - Solna Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2003
Red-brown with thin beige head.
Roasted malty aroma.
Dry flavour.
Unfortunately my notes are a bit short on this beer. I will re-rate when I find it next time.

Malt, yeast nose. Semi-sour malted flavors. Quite average. Nothing really to say about this except that it’s there.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Gr0ve (2038) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 15, 2009
500 ml bottle. Brown colour. Clear. Small fine-laced off-white head
that clings to the glass. Weak nutty aroma. Light-bodied. Mellow
bitterness, but it is definitely there and it lasts all the way to
the finish. Nutty and with a hint of raisins, but I find the beer to
be rather low on flavour. Some chocolate and a hint of tomatoes.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 veronika (410) - SWEDEN - MAR 7, 2004
Brown color, ok head. Brings a sweet aroma from toffee and honey, quite malty. Flavor is creamy, toffee and a little sugary.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Kavu (1565) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 20, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2012 0,5l bottle. Straight from the bottle so there isn?t much to say about the appearance. Aroma is roasted with some coffee or chocolate. Flavor is much of the same, maybe a bit too much so. Drinkable.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jfb (2569) - GERMANY - MAY 22, 2013
(cask) pours a slightly hazy ruby-amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of bread dough, cherries and marzipan, with a hint of barnyard and butter. flavour is slightly husky, with notes of white grapes, banana, roasted grain, caramel and a light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 muffel (130) - Lower Saxony, GERMANY - JUL 16, 2010
Bottle 500ml. Clear brown-reddish color with big off-white head. Medium carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, some dark chocolate and hops. Medium bitterness in the aftertaste.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Foffern (737) - Bodø, NORWAY - MAY 5, 2012
Bottle at pub. Has a clear amber colour with a small off-white head. A not very aromatic beer but I sence sweet malt, some caramel and dried fruits. The flavour is better with fudge, some wood and berries. Feels slick in the mouth, and is a bit carbonated. Light bitterness. In the end a decent ale with a nice balance.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Clear amber pour, with a light head and little lacing. Malty aroma. A typical Scottish malty ale with a nice rounded hoppy bitterness. Nice refreshing beer, but not really my favourite style.
