This beer puts the "pale" in pale ale, which I think it's tries to hard for. An incrediblty bitter beer, even for my tastes.

A light amber beer with a fine but disappearing head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The flavor is also sweet and malty with notes of fruit. A really good pale ale.

Bottled. Golden with lacy white head. Grassy herb aroma atop a good malt and hop structure. Plenty of everything in this beer which makes it nice to talk to.

12/2001 Half of a gift set from the Inveralmond Brewery this is a pleasantly bitter ale. It actually reminds me of one our homebrew batches with a bit less hops (which is a good thing - the batch was far too bitter!) I enjoyed this one a lot. Very drinkable. Hopefully the other bottle in the set will be just as good.

Bitter. but still better than the regulary english pissy cask ales. However still not worth wasting money on!

Spicy and herby notes in the aroma and in the aftertaste. Otherwise bitter.

eczematic (1297) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 22, 2002
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2003 pungent hoppy, herby aroma. lovely balance between fresh pale malt and herbal hops, then a really dry, salty, bitter, complex finish. this is excellent stuff - verging on orvalesque. 27/6 just banging this up a bit numberswise

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2008 Sept, 2002 Gentle and juicy grapefruit flavour - a very refreshing and pleasant beer. [2.8]
Feb, 2008 500ml bottle - cold filtered - from Gretna Green. Good hop flavours, and a light, slightly buttery malt which balances the citric marmalade beautifully. A refreshing and zingy ale - packed with flavour at only 4.1%. [3.6]
