My undated bottle poured with a very high degree of sediment which leads me to believe it may have been a the shelf a bit long. All the same, this was an enjoyable quaff ... big-bodied sweet malty beer with a distinct tone of peat, light smoke and raisins. Different.

Una buona golden ale inglese, si presenta bene, saporita, e con un retrogusto gustoso e persistente!

500 ml bottle from Vaaland, Bryne. Pours a misty golden body with a rocky, off-white head that shrinks from an inch to a speckled head, leaving excellent lacing. Herbal, fruity, sprucy honey nose. Inviting. Medium bodied and smooth. Well hopped for it’s low strength, not overdone at all. Bitter and a little malty. The bitterness is the kind you get from the white part of citrus peel. Quite enjoyable.

50 cl bottle. Pours a white sticky head. Kind of shady pilsener color. Aroma of leaves and yeast. Nice and grainy flavour. This is not bad at all! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2012 Ormai l’amaro tende a catturare molti proseliti.

Bottle at The Flying Horse. Pours golden with a pillowy head. Taste of honney, orange cest and lemon. Freh but bitter and hevier than the abv indicates. A bit like a more bitter Trashy Blond.

Pours a slightly cloudy light amber color with a smallish white head that dissipates quickly but covers the glass in a fair amount of sticky lace. Smells malty bready with a hint of butterscotch and nail polish. Sweet dark pitted fruit and a hint of toffee round out the nose quite well. Taste is sweet and malty with a bit of bread and toffee up front. Lots of butterscotch coated berries and cherries in here. Slightly earthy hop barely cuts through malty sweetness. Surprising fullness of body for such a small abv. Moderate level of carbonation and a sweet almost oily mouthfeel. Not to shabby of a beer, if it were a bit easier to obtain I might have one periodically.
