Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo)
Deep amber, healthy frothy head. Hoppy aroma, accompanied by sweet caramelly malts. Slightly watery palate, but not too thin. Taste has a deep bitter base that builds up with every sip. Slightly sacchariny - both sweet and bitter sides. Also a grainy component. Doesn’t quite do it for me, I think I had a better version a few years back.

Yellow with white lasting head. Aroma of malt and pine. Flavor of malt with a hint of orange.

Jul 26, 2008 Cask, Salmon Galashiels. Good yellow colour, good head that dies slowly. Lots of fresh fruity aromas and flavours. Smooth and easily quaffed. Enjoyed a few pints of this.

Jul 17, 2008 Cask, Halfway House, Edinburgh. Pale gold, white head. Gentle herbal hops, a hint of tartness. Pleasant clean grassy hops, dry, light. Just a little lingering mellon and pith.

May 11, 2008 (Cask at Punavuoren Ahven on 2008-04-19) Clear and light yellow. Hardly any head. Malts and hops in nose. Medium palate. Nice malty taste with some yeast and hops. Some nut flavours.
