3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at the Oxford in Edinburgh. Straw colour with decent head that lasts nicely. Grassy hops mix nicely with biscuity malt here to make a balanced, smooth and highly enjoyable session beer.

Cask a McCowan’s. Clear golden yellow pour, foamy white head. Aromas of floral hops, light fruit, some light malt. More malt-dominated on the taste though, and on the thin side. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This one may have been near the end of the barrel- but I think I’ve had enough ossians to try and give it a fair score. Golden with a medium white head. Malty, hoppy aroma. Sweet with a mild finish. Thick oily texture and light carbonation. Normally a decent pint - though this one was lacking a bit of excitement- will definitely re-rate at some point...

Cask, The Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Golden with a white foam. Aromas are lemon rind with grain and hints of honey. Trace lime with floral notes and spices. Flavours are peanuts wit dry lager malt and mellow lemon. Spritzy yeast with base biscuit malts. Dry and peppery on the finish. I liked it.
