Cask; Regular.
A pale, golden coloured brew with a full bodied fruity flavour with distinct nutty tomes and a hoppy, zesty, orange aroma, derived from First Gold and Cascade hops.

Cask at under the hammer, Aberdeen.
At first a perhaps acetic whiff on the nose which thankfully opens up into grapefruit pith and shortcake. Medium body, lightly carbonated with well balanced cascade and malts. A little yeast complexity in finish adds interest that many low hop golden ales lack, decent.

Cask at the Woodman’s Rest, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a clear light amber with a huge frothy long-lasting white head. The aroma is malt light hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth hop bitter malt light citrus palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Oxford in Edinburgh. Straw colour with decent head that lasts nicely. Grassy hops mix nicely with biscuity malt here to make a balanced, smooth and highly enjoyable session beer.

Cask a McCowan’s. Clear golden yellow pour, foamy white head. Aromas of floral hops, light fruit, some light malt. More malt-dominated on the taste though, and on the thin side. Not bad.

Cask at Number 27, Inverness, 19/10/13. Clear golden with a good sized off white head. Nose is toasted malts, citric waft, orange. Taste comprises orange pith, toasted malts, bread dough, citrus fruit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry grassy bitter notes in the finale. Decent GB and in great condition as per all the cask ales I had at number 27 this weekend.

Fanstasic beer with a creamy mouth feel. One of the best light beers I have tried

This one may have been near the end of the barrel- but I think I’ve had enough ossians to try and give it a fair score. Golden with a medium white head. Malty, hoppy aroma. Sweet with a mild finish. Thick oily texture and light carbonation. Normally a decent pint - though this one was lacking a bit of excitement- will definitely re-rate at some point...
