some banana and butter in the nose. thereís some spice as it opens up -- definitely cinnamon notes, very assertive. nutmeg is also easy to sense. smells like the gluwein i make at christmastime! nice dark butterscotch/amber color, big white head. lots of flavors jumbling around in this one, from spice, to butter to tangy notes. a bit thin on body. oxidation. this one is very old.

Takie sobie przecietne piwo. Spodziewalem sie sporo lepszych wrazen. Piana spora i trwala ale zapach prawie rzaden. Smak rozwodnionego bittera z lekka nuta przypraw zimowych i cynamon gdzies daleko w tle.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear, medium amber, with a big white frothy head and lots of long-lasting lace. The aroma is rich, malty and with hints of resin. The flavour is weak bitter, smooth and malty. The finish is bitter and the malt hangs around too. Serve cool in the Asian heat or warm in front of log fire in an English pub!

Bottle, february 7th 2013. Clear amber body, low white head. Aroma of toffee and cinnamon. Taste is very malty with some more cinnamon, sweet palate and medium body, not bad but admittedly boring-

From the 500 ml. bottle, 2012 batch. The pour is a reddish-copper tone with a modest foamy head that leaves a soft coat of lacing on the glass. The aroma is of sweet malts, baked bread, and cranberries. The body is medium. The taste is sweetish up front with a decent lingering bitterness at the end. Rather pleasant overall.

New Beer Distributors, New York 50cl ($5): Pours a hazy copper color with an off-white head. Aroma is English hops, malt, and spice. Taste is all Christmas spice over a relatively generic body. Nothing special. Meh.

Xmas day. Copper in appearance with a thick head. Spice on the nose with cinnamon the most noticable. The taste is actually quite watery, with medium bitterness, caramel sweetness, cinnamon again on the taste and dark fruit. Not too carbonated but pleasant and easy to drink.

Quite light amber clear body. A bit small but long-lived, off-white head that is a frothy to creamy, good lacing. Moderate aroma with pale malts, caramel, fruits (hey, isnít that banana?), spices and pine needles. Iím not sure about the pine needles, though, it might be from my fingers, since Iím drinking this while decorating the christmas tree. The taste is light to moderate sweet and the finish is very light bitter. Spicy and somewhat herbal flavours with cinnamon up front along with other christmas spices, caramel and again this banana thing. On second thought, letís merge the two last elements into banana caramel. Light bodied and rather watery texture, moderate carbonation. An easy-to-drink christmas party session beer.
