Bottle @ Baran, Bergen. Deep coppery orange body, medium white head. Aroma is caramel malts with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is light caramel tones, hints of nutmeg and crisp hops. Very drinkable, as expected. Mellow but quite all right, except for a few tones of wet paper in the back which detracts the score a bit.

Bottle @ Olutravintola Kukko, Kemi. Cinnamon and banana on the nose. Caramel malty taste with bananic notes. Quite light and easy to drink but still reasonably tasty.

50 cl bottle @ Kahdet Kasvot, Tampere.
Pours clear copper colour with medium head. Aroma of spices, grass, malts and caramel. Flavour of spices, malts, hay, mild herbal notes and caramel. A bit too spicy and thus somewhat offensive.

0.5l bottle @ Baran. A crystal clear amber orange beer with a nice everlasting and heavy lacing just off-white head. Aroma is mild with some caramel and light spicy, but lots and lots of nutmeg! Mild oily mouthfeel and a average to soft carbonation level. Ginger tones in the flavor but also a strange almost licorice touch before the nutmeg kicks in and overwhelms the whole beer. Continues with cinnamon and a really low bitterness towards the ending. Really light drinkable and a good mild Christmas beer.

Attractive copper colour with a thick white head. Good spicy character to the fore, finish is fairly long lasting. Full bodied. Liked this a lot!

From bottle. Pours amber with white head. Aroma of toffee, nutmeg and vanilla. Taste has lots of cinnamon and nutmeg, far too much, major nutmeg party. First sip was interesting, a complete chore after that. Down the sink job.

Bottle. Really lackluster aroma - hard to detect anything here. Nice dark orange colour with solid white head. Taste is kind of sweet, cinnamon, spicy, but none of these flavours are very pronounced. Creamy palate. Credible.

50cl bottle. Pours an amber colour with a nice sized head. Without even lifting the glass, the Christmas spices are obvious. On closer inspection, the nutmeg is the obvious spice, itís so obvious that itís hard to get much of the malt behind though you somehow know itís there. The taste is more of the same. The palate is initially interesting but really itís a one-dimensional nutmeg thing. Overall, this amount of nutmeg probably has some health benefits but I couldnít see me having another.
