UPDATED: APR 25, 2013 Re-rating from Stockbridge Tap. This time it was really pleasant - I don’t understand why it was so bad last time. It’s a keg. On this occasion the beer was giving lovely peach notes instead of the vegetable oil previouslly found. Previous rating on 22/01/13. 3+3+1+1+2=1 On tap @ the Stockbridge Tap. Pours golden with a little bit of head. The nose is absolutely stinking of sweetcorn and vegetable oil. The taste is similarly vegetal and although I know this is a characteristic of lager, I’m quite happy to have a note of green beans but this really did smell like cold chip fat after several batches of chips had been fried in it. It’s difficult to describe the palate but I guess it’s light bodied and not refreshing in the slightest. Overall, I can see from the other ratings that the scores are hugely variable on this, so maybe it deserves another chance but I’d rather someone else bought it and I just got a small taste.

Bottle. Pale golden beer with a strong white head. The aroma is yeasty with a touch of dryness, and the flavour is quite sweet from its yeastiness with a lot of bitterness and dryness. Overall a nice Pilsner like beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sunburst bohemian pilsener. Brown bottle 330ml, cork and cask Edinburgh. Scent is light lager malt with hints of lemon. Pours medium golden, transparent with a thin white head subsiding slowly. Scent of apples and maybe flowers. Taste is dry crisp apple and lager character. Finish is clean and smooth. Great

Bohemian pilsner. Looks like a pills but the aroma is a bit too malty. and then there’s the flavor which is quite malt dominated. Lightly sweet, with the hops taming the sweetness and adding some nice spicy notes. The body is mostly fuller than echoed for a pale lager. Ignoring the style violations, I quite enjoyed this beer, adding to my perception of Inveralmond as a very reliable brewery.

This one starts of just simple and continues its path all way long but it also offers a decent mix of hops and yeast. Beside this some vanilla, a truck full of flowers and some easy drinkability. Fine one.

Bottle from Britische Biere in Düsseldorf. The beer has got a clear deep golden colour with an low steady head and medium body. Aroma of mild hops and grass. Taste of hops, citrus fruits, grass and bread. Floral finish. Refreshing and solid Pils with some well-hopped mouthfeel.

Clean pale yellow, thin white head fades quickly, nice malty nose with hints of citrus. Light malt and hop flavours, nice lager!
