2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 stravale (579) - Scottish Borders, SCOTLAND - SEP 10, 2011
Cask @ Old Mill, Brodie
Light blonde with 1 cm dense white head
Aroma of sweet malts, honey, hint of orange, malt a bit sickly, vegetables.
Sweet honey malts, citrus orange, bit buttery, wishy washy flavour.
Low carb, thin, finish much the same as the main flavour but rather dull.
Easy drinking, but the malts are a bit of a sweet mishmash and its cloying on the palate. Not great. A Pilsner? You must be joking!
2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 BeerCast_Rich (1202) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 16, 2011
[keg at Cloisters, Edinburgh] Not seen this on keg before. Furiously carbonated (although not as much as the BI Blonde), very pale golden colour. Hardly any aromas in evidence, maybe a faint gassy sweetness. Strangely perfumed flavour – sweet and oddly fruity. Tastes like a cocktail mixer [12082011]
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Benjii (2410) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 9, 2011
On keg at Cloisters. Beer coloured soda water. Pours a very light blonde colour with a thin white head. Aroma of light barley, caramel and yeast. Quite thin and highly carbonated. Caramel, mineral water and grassy hop flavours. Little sweet linger. This beer really doesn’t seem to benefit from kegging.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JohnRMurdoch (1572) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JAN 7, 2011
Cask @ The Bon Accord. Mild hoppy aroma. Very clear yellow colour. Hoppy citrus flavour with smooth resin aftertaste. Not bad for a pilsner.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 13, 2010
@ Kay’s Bar. Straw colour with a sparkler head. The aroma is faint but lemony with a light pale malt character. The soft body doesn’t work here - it leaves too much sweetness on the palate. Vague fruitiness is okay, but this to me needs quite a bit more hop.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (4741) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - SEP 17, 2010
Cask @ Kay’s Bar. Shade of 14k gold with a sparkler head. Sweet aroma is pears. Where are the hops? It’s too sweet for a pils, with lots of pear and lychee. As I sip it, some astringency, even saltiness emerge. The hops come late with a hint of green tea. Finishes dry but not hoppy enough.

14th July 2010. Market Porter. Hazy pale gold beer. No real head. Light dry palate - very dry. Slightly herbal orange and grapefruit. A little chalky and some alka seltzer spritzyness. Finishes dry. Okay.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 renffisch (642) - london, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2010
Half at GBBF. Light yellow colour. Thick stable white head, patchy lace. Wet paper, moss and grassy hop nose. A lot of citric hop with a bit of wet malt. Quite nice and balanced. Not bad
