Cask; Regular.
A golden copper coloured ale, which has a thick and creamy off-white head that laces your glass all the way to the bottom, leaving you wanting more. A marriage of Pilgrim, East Kent Goldings and Cascade hops presents a delicate citrus aroma and a unique spicy floral taste.

Golden coloured - didn't notice the "reddish tones" that others have remarked upon. Apart from that, I would say that the brewery description sums it up pretty well. Very crisp, clean and well made, with floral overtones. Dry, bitter finish. Slips down a treat. A very good beer from a very good brewery. Handpump, The Speaker, London SW1, September 2003

Light rust in colour with creamy, bubbly head. Deceptively creamy and lovely on the palate. The creaminess hits back of tongue just before the bitterness hits your tastebuds. Bit floral with a leafy, citrus finish. At first I thought the finish might be a slight let down but that really isnít the case as you get further down the glass. Very, very nice and much better than I expected. Will definitely buy again.

500ml Bottle from Aldi, Scotland (£1.69):
Not the strongest, a very typical English bitter aroma with medium strength malts & earthy hops, touches of grain & sweetness. Faint toffee features with background sugar & fruits before being rounded off by some bitterness.
Clear, red tinged amber with a thumb-sized, creamy head with the odd bubble across the surface. Retention isnít bad with little movement over the opening couple of minutes, before eventually settling as a thick lacing.
Earthy hops & malts with some bitterness & biscuit flavours with some spice. Touches of sweetness offset the bitterness some before the a combination of caramel & toffee malts finishes things off.
Medium bodied & bitter with some sweetness helping balance things out. Carbonation was medium as well & the beer was fairly smooth with some spice parts & a crisp, dry finish.

A beer that I quite enjoyed and it certainly came out as one of the best from the ten beers I picked up in Aldi recently. Good balance of earthy malts & hops with a pleasantly sweet backing & some decent bitterness throughout; one Iíd pick up again.

Cask in my local Spoonís on 9th June 2014. Amber bronze with an off-white head that held well. This smooth and mellow beer had a malt lead that fell away to allow the mildly citrus flavoured hops to assert themselves mid-sip. An easy drinking blend, nice.

Lacing nicely. Creamy head. Slight red hue. A bit "landlordesque" in colour. Citrus and smoky on finish. Refreshing. Bottled from asda

Dark golden beer with a thick, frothy head and a faint, sweet, citrus aroma. The is very subtle, with hints of citrus, caramel and a slight tangy edge. The aftertaste is surprisingly strong with the citrus coming through again and a lasting, bitter almost smoky finish.

On cask at JDW, Balham. Pours an amber colour with a white head. Aroma is sweet and cakey. Light body, light carbonation. Malty, fruity with cake and lemon, a little orange and a hint of pine too. Nice balance. Good., ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask: Amber pour with a decent white head, good lacing. Roasted malts, nut, woody, caramel maltiness, herbal. Silky mouthfeel and quite full. Feels nice in your mouth and a very good session ale.
