Guess I dint know this is s’posed to be served chilled and let it warm a bit out of the fridge. Served with a fizzy, foamy, pink lavender head that soon settles to an island and the tiniest bit of lace. Color is a clear cherry red with loads of bubble trails. Aroma is Boysenberries, malt, butter. Flavor’s like nose, on the dry side, plenty of carbonic tang, butter’s more noticable at the beginning. Body is good and has plenty of carbonation. Finish is like flavor with berry and tang lingering for a while.

Bottle at Dispensary Enoteca. Very well balanced fruit beer. Aromas of raspberry and cherries. Taste is sweet and sour, with long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Red, with a frothy off-white head.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 marcus (4056) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 9, 2012
Bottle from Beer Revolution. Pours ruby with a pretty purple head and a bready fruit aroma. There is a distinct boyenberry flavor over a wheat background. Finishes tart and bitter. Not a real good combination, but it’s interesting.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bhensonb (7589) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 3, 2012
Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, CA. Pours dark cherry/berry red with no head. Aroma is lite berry and wheat. Near med body. It’s fruity, but it’s very wheaty. The berry comes out after a bit, and it’s dry and astringent. The wheat keeps dominating the berry, and I think it would be better the other way around. Stil, if dry is the desire, this fits.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 michael-pollack (4880) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 1, 2012
330ml Bottle: Aroma of wheat, cereal, husks, and berries. Poured magenta/ruby in color with a tiny, pink head around the edges only. Cloudy. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of wheat and berries. Medium body. Tingly, then lightly dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Wheat and berry finish is lightly dry. Too much wheat, not enough fruit.

330 ml bottle from Randall’s. Pours a clear, dark cherry red with an initially inch-thick pink-tinted head that settles quickly into a big ring with some film. Aroma of sweet berries, sugars, sweet malts, wheat, and cereal. Flavor of sweet and slightly tart berries, strawberry soda, dry wheat, and some sweet malts. Light-bodied, with a sweet, dry mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Interesting fruit beer.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 HonkeyBra (2282) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - JAN 12, 2012
11.2 oz bottle that was an xmas gift. Pours a ruby red hue with barely any head. Aroma of red fruits, mild wheat husk, some esters. Flavor of mild raspberry, what I can only assume is boysenberry. Mildly tart, quite nice fruit notes actually. The base beer just doesn’t have enough behind it. Effervescent carbonation. Ok, but not amazing.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Pyobon (569) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JAN 10, 2012
(bottle) Poured clear ruby red with zero head. Aroma was primarily boysenberry with some perfume, vanilla and perhaps a hint of redcurrants. Medium bodied with mouthfilling, fine, but plentiful carbonation (odd given no head). Flavour has a pleasant boysenberry start which is pleasantly slightly tart which gives way to some sweetness but is followed by a rather sharp, slightly unpleasant metallic and artificial finish. Overall it s OK as it is an unusual fruit beer and not overly sweet but it has some rough edges.
