COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A pale bronze coloured ale with hints of fruitcake and a dry hoppy finish make this tradiotionally styled ale a real delight to drink.

330ml bottle. Attractive opaque amber hue, small diminishing off-white creamy head, good lacing. Pleasant mix of aromas; fruity; apricot, peach, citrus/marmalade, hint of lime, soy sauce, smokey, whisky, port royal tobacco, honey. Taste is light sweet, medium heavy bitter, light sour, with a long duration. Medium body, lightly creamy texture, light carbonation, long dry bitter slightly astringent finish. A very nice English Pale Ale, though lacking in memorability.

The head is ok, the body amber-brown. It smells sweet, hoppy, fruity, aromatic. The taste is aromatic, fruity, hoppy, bit malty, bit bitter. Good one.

Bottled. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. Aroma is a bit weak, but has hoppy fruitiness mainly. Clear, copper coloured with an off-white head, The taste has biscuitty malts, hints of grapefruit and some pine. Some carbonation goiní. Okay-ish.

Dog food dry, stale grape nuts, over-dried orange peel... sour, grainy, popcorn and creamed corn flavoring with hints of yogurt. Then you have some plant matter, soil, animal dung, etc. Pure shit! But itís not as bad as it sounds, itís actually a struggle to get these notes... itís a surprisingly dull beer. Medium body, syrupy texture, low carbonation, low bitterness and medium-low sweetness. Factory beer masquerading as craft with a trendy label.

Slightly amber gold color with a white thin head. In nose, it has an aroma of malt and hops, no extra notes but really good. Taste we can feel a soft cereal flavor, light body, long finish fruity and herbal produced by classic Zealanders hops. Classic and rich.

Bronze amber colour with a nice bubbling head. Smooth and malty with the malts keep coming through. Very nice beer.

Golden reddish. Short head. Mine was too cold; didnít taste anything, just like a bland uninteresting lager, but when I disappointed left it for half an hour new flavors developed: noticeable maltiness, some sugar and hops, dried fruit and a hint of vanilla.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Nice copper orange pour with a small white head. Some decent lacing is left behind. Aroma falls short for a pale. Smells more like a lager with a touch of citrus behind it. Pale biscuit malts and green fruits show in the taste. Not much of a finish. Rather dull

330ml bottle. Carries a big deep thick head of dirty white foam and an amber bronze body. Passionfruit and rockmelon in the aroma are pleasing on the nose. Good mouthfeel and flavour with mild bitterness and a lingering aftertaste. Not outstanding but a good honest pale ale.

As Amber as amber comes in a pint. Off-white head that subsides in time. Aromas of buttercups, lemon peel and apricots and itís the apricots that the flavour veers more toward (tinned apricots) and then thereís a shockwave of bitterness that attacks the tongue and the mouth leaving a full, long, lingering finish. So much better than I remember it from a few years ago.
