Hard to believe Ipswich is kinda off the radar. They’ve been making some of the East’s best beer for decades now. This one is special, a seasonal with local hops and above all local malting by the incredible Valley Malt. A very distinctive hoppy brew. One of my all-time favorites.

Earthy hops. Tingly mouth feel. Bitter aftertaste. Pine in the nose. Yellow/orange in color with thin head and lacing. An ok IPA, but not great.

Pours deep gold into a Sam glass. Off-white head with good retention pancakes as it recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet tropical fruit and resin aromas. Medium bodied with bready caramel upfront turning to sharp tropical fruit before a lasting grapefruit pith finish.
