Jul 18, 2008 Amber pour with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel and biscuit malts. Flavor has the same caramel with toffee and just a bit of hops. Finishes semi sweet, pretty refreshing.

Semi clear amber . Semll is fruity and doughy. Flavor is metallic and has a rubbing alcohol essence to it. Mouthfeel is average. Overall, decent.

Pours an attractive unfiltered amber with light beige head. SMell is earthy, dusty hops and a touch of bitter grapefruit. Taste is bitter, earthy hops and a bit of alcohol. Medium bodied and full of earthy almost dirty hops. Drinkable but not as clean of a flavor as I tend to want in my IPAs. Still nice.

Jun 22, 2008 Draught from a cask. Copper pour with a thick tan head. Sticky lacing, aroma of bitter hops. Taste of hops and some sweet pine and citrus present. Really good strong hoppy finish.

Jun 20, 2008 First off, I’d like to say that the palindrome of bolton isn’t ipswich, the palindrome of bolton is notlob. Secondly, this is actually a very nice traditional style (not "hey hoss, there’s still room in the kettle, let’s add another 400 pounds of hops" IPA). Nice balance, good crisp hop aroma with assertive bitter finish balanced out by the malty mouthfeel and requisite sweetness. I’d buy this again.
