GAManiac (218), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 15, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Alldaydrinker. Pours a bright hazy orangish yellow with a small puffy white head that dissipates quickly leaving a little lacing. Smell is light sweet malts and some hops with a big fruity aroma of lemon zest. The taste follows the smell with a big zesty lemon bite up front followed up with the sweetness of the malts and and fruit, especially lemon and banana. The mouthfeel is light bodied, clean and crisp. This is a very drinkable brew on a hot afternoon and I look forward to other beers from this brewery. kurtkosher (147), USA May 1, 2008 medium bodied very bitter ale. not bad, but not something im really into. what can ya do Alldaydrinker (450), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Sep 4, 2007 Pours an amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel malts, fruits and some citrus hops. Initial taste of bitter hops, lemon, banana and some sweet malts. Finishing with a very bitter hops (loosing that good bitter hop taste). Medium body, some lacing of the glass, and some head retention. Decent palate duration. mkgrenwel (420), Brookline (Boston), Massachusetts, USA Aug 23, 2007 Nice light hoppy beer. Really tastes more like an APA than an American Wheat, which means it’s nicely hoppy. That hop character is light and floral. A little bitter in the finish; more than the style typically has. Tart wheat still plays a huge role. Certainly has the Ipswich house flavor. Not sure what yeast it is, but it’s distinct. Fruity and estery, evoking apple and pear. Touches of peach and banana. Ipswich has impressed me again with a beer that’s traditional and balanced, yet flavorful and complex. I’d easily buy this one again. sisyphus12 (98), Belmont, Massachusetts, USA Jul 31, 2007 bought in a bottle in Cambridge, MA. Cloudy appearance, decent aroma and serviceable palate. A solid beer
