(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 4 April 2008) Black colour with creamy, brown head. Roasted, fruity nose with notes of coffee, blueberries and crowberries. Roasted, fruity taste with coffee, crowberries, hints of tar and a nice coffee bitterness in the finish. Very nice beer, with a dark fruity sweetness leaning in the porter direction.

Cask at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö
The color is coffee-black; small head. Mild aroma of roasted malt, coffee, breadcrumbs. The mouthfeel is quite weak; roasted malt flavor, very dry, a bit ashy, with dry chocolate too and black coffee. Strong bitterness, most from the roasted malt, especially in the very end. Well, it’s not my favorite style, but it’s lightness makes it highly drinkable, and it’s well brewed.

Cask@Irish Pub, Sundsvall. Very deep amber colour, close to black, mediumsized creamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some fruits sweet wood and some mild grassyness. Flavour is roastedmalts, sweet wood, some mild fruityness as well as sap. Quite sweet, but fits the roasted, almost smoked, notes rather well. Brilliance!

Pours completely black with a small, creamy, film head. Aroma is sweet, some dark chocolate, softly roasted. Low carbonation, dry and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is very dry, hard roasted, liqourice, dark chocolate. Powerful liqourice in the aftertaste. Pretty delicious.

Cask at SMÖF, 2009. Black in colour with low head. Phenols and flower water in aroma. Really light bodied with tad chocolate and somewhat grassy. Pretty lifeless in body. Light bitter. Long, papery bitterness. Probably suffering from long shelf-life.

Poured a pitch black liquid with a small light brown foam. It had a smell and taste of chocolate, something burned and sweet. Very smooth mouthfeel and easy to drink but a bit watery. Nice.
