pivnizub (7239) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 16, 2012
Bottle: Golden, a bit unclear, big stable and lacy white head, sweetish-graiiny-bisquity nose with hints of nuts and alcohol; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, chewy; slightly lingering sweet bisquity finish with a slight hoppiness in the aftertaste. Nice brew, not very aromatic, but chewy…

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Golden colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is bread, some mild yeast, harsh earthyness as well as mild bitterness. Flavour is bready and quite sweet malts along with some slight bitterness and also quite mouthdrying earthy/herbal notes. Flavour is quite an intrigue, whilst the aroma is left somewhere far behind.

Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck thanks. Nose is on sweet caramel, aroma is malty, sweet, slightly fruity, dusty hops, peppery bitterness on aftertaste, residual yeast flavor, not exceptional.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 04.04.2012. Thanks Timo A!
Aroma has nice, grassy hops with some grain, malt and hints of honey. Flavour has grassy hops and butter. A bit weird and harsh aftertaste. Feels more pils than märzen. Good!

Pours a pale yelow colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of grassy hops and citrus. Flavour of grassy hops, citrus, pale malts and some herbal notes as well. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a bitter grassy finish. Pils-like Märzen, nice one.

MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - AUG 30, 2011
(bottle, as Irlbacher Festbier, 5.6% abv) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond and tall foamy head. Strawy malty and slightly (sour-)doughy aroma with subtle citric notes and a tinge of grassy hops. Moderately sweet flavour, only light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Doughy malt-accented taste with notes of fresh white bread and shy hints of cara-malt; moderately sweet malty and slightly grassy hoppy finish. Just another (pale) Festbier. 17.VIII.11
