1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 drowland (4975) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - MAY 6, 2012
5/6/12. 12oz bottle. Clear amber pour with a small khaki head that fades fast. Very plain aroma with touches of sweet caramel. Sweet caramel entry with a hint of tartness and fruitiness with a surprising bitter, dry finish. For an amber lager, this should be more easy-drinking. This tastes... off.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 PorterPounder (4609) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 4, 2012
Tallahassee, FL - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, light off-white head that dissipates quickly, Aroma has some brief caramel notes, a hint of hard candy. Flavor is slightly bland and a bit metallic. Brief wisps of caramel, some cola, not much else. Mouthfeel is slightly metallic. So-so.

In bottles at GABF 2012. Pours a clear light amber color with a medium white head. A nice nose of caramel and dusty malts. A pretty simple dry flavor with caramel and biscuit. OK.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3947) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2012
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange white head that lingers and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweetish with touches of butterscotch, nut and sulfur. The flavor was tangy and somewhat bitter with faint caramel and a touch of fruit. Medium length bitter and tangy finish. Light body. Eh.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Aurelius (3437) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Bronze, clear, fizzy bone head. Good graphics. Not ambitious, but drinkable. Parched cereal aroma with some sweet malt. Just the slightest bit of roast, a little caramel, not very bitter or otherwise obviously hopped. Generally gave me the impression of a decent session brew. Clean finish. I could see going through a sixer at a tailgate party easily. New Leaf Market.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 LinusStick (2613) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 5, 2011
Very boring amber lager. Aroma was so so. Slight hints of caramel malt with some peanut and metal. Pour was stunning. Very full deep red with a one finger off white head. Taste was not very good. Strong metallic flavor and toasted malt in the front with not much aftertaste. Very bland. Decent carbonation. Good intro beer for pale lager drinkers, but not very significant otherwise.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nike (746) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 7, 2011
Taste is in between Yuengling Lager and Sam Adams Lager. It doesn’t have the bite of a SA, but not as mild as the Yuengling. Overall decent, I agree with Linus Stick, it is a good intro beer for pale lager drinkers. It’s always good to support local breweries’.

Pours a dark amber color with very little head. Sweet caramel flavor. It could use a little more carbonation. This is a very tasty beer.

A nice slightly hoppy lager. Everyone that has ever tasted it agrees that this beer is Iron City’s best effort. I am a home brewer and just bottled my version of this tasty craft beer. Try this beer and revisit Iron City again!
