Pours a semi-golden colour with a thick white malty top. Aroma is a little grainy with soft fruit like pears and hint of bananna. Taste is very dissapointing, metallicy, grain and finishes watery.

This gold pour was a little heavier then its lighter counterpart. I actually thought the IC light was a little better but this was more flavorful.

Just another medicore American style lager. Might be good ice cold after mowing the lawn.

VitaminR (540) - Colorado, USA - APR 26, 2008
Grassy nose, some cornmeal. Golden color with a decent head. Bitter stale biscuit flavor--not necessarily a bad thing. Nicely carbonated, with a not bad herbal sourdough finish.

   AROMA 2/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 8/20
spikester (602) - Salem, Oregon, USA - APR 9, 2008
Pours light copper from the bottle with minimal head and no lacing. Aroma is minimal, not offensive. Palate is O.K., similar to mainstream macros. Flavor is like Coors regular on steriods. Maybe a touch of MGD dumped in for the bitterness. Very unique brew for a macro competitor. If you happen across some give it a try. It has a metallic overtone to it also. Can’t decide if that is good or bad. It has a slighty dry, bitter finish. Not bad for an American traditional Lager.

A beer for the true man. A beer that embodies the city of Pittsburgh. This is a great beer that deserves much more respect than given by those outside the city of Pittsburgh.

jmuhops (666) - Winchester, Virginia, USA - MAR 15, 2008
UPDATED: MAR 18, 2008 Pours pale gold with a small head. Not much in the aroma or flavor. Thin and watery. Inoffensive, at least.

UPDATE: My first rating was from a glass. From a bottle, this stuff is absolutely horrid. All the above nothing coupled with a hint of vegetal sewage. (SHUDDER)

This is rubbish. No aroma, no appearance, minimal flavor, skanky feel. It’s only where it is because I’m a P-burgh sympathizer.
