3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ronaldtheriot (362) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - AUG 28, 2011
Poured from a 12 oz. bottle purchased in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (not sold in Louisiana). Iron City Beer has an almost nonexistent, white head, and a clear, golden-yellow, fairly bubbly appearance, and very little lacing. The aroma is a subtle grain, and taste is of sweet grain, biscuit, grass, and a touch of hop bitterness at the back end of the sip. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Iron City finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and dry. Drinkability is quite high with this. Overall, I think it’s a good American-style lager, and I suggest you try it. RJT
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bif (529) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 21, 2011
Can- Pours a golden yellow with a big head that fades quickly. Mild aroma of some sweetness and some grain. Not much here. Again a mild sweetness and grain with a trace of bitterness and a clean finish.
Light body, a bit crisp and refreshing. Nothing wrong with an old school beer once in a while. Better than most of the BMC offerings.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 jhliesen (467) - West Melbourne, Florida, USA - JUN 26, 2011
Bottle-When I moved to Florida 20 years, I had a co-worker that would always bring back this beer from Pittsburgh and would wait for the day he could return again to stock up. Didn’t like it then, don’t like it now. Typical corn lager, better than bud light.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 RobertDale (830) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JUN 16, 2011
12 ounce bottle. $4.99 a six pack. Pours a light gold with an average white head. Aroma of sweet malt, corn and just a tiny bit of hops. Taste is mainly sweet malt. Should have known better.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 drowland (3569) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2011
5/9/11. 12oz bottle. Clear golden color with a small off-white head. Sweet aroma of corn and green apples. Even sweeter flavor like milk-soaked corn flakes floating in apple juice. Meh.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 nike (500) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 27, 2011
A Pittsburgh tradition. Synopsis with Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. This brewery started many “firsts” in the beer industry. For example, snap top can, draught beer in a can, they used local sports teams on the beer cans, first light beer (Mark V), aluminum bottle, reseal able cap on bottle, and first malt (Hop-n-Gator). Not bad. The beer is not bad either. Try one!

Aroma of corn and dirty socks. Tastes of dishwater and corn. Only gets a 1 because of nostalgia.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Block (850) - West Lafayette, Indiana, USA - MAR 7, 2011
A very average beer from the labeling to the taste. That might have been what they were going for. It’s what you would expect, light and watery with a grassy aroma.
