The only people who buy this beer are poor college students looking to get drunk.

12oz bottle left in the fridge by Wilkes and Lynn. Straw, hay and corn in the aroma. Taste follows suit - malt, grain, slightly metallic. Not as bad as most American pale lagers.

This tastes like spoiled corn and rusty water. One of the worst beers I ever drank. I did not want to finish it.

Can labeled Olde Frothingslosh poured a clear pale yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of corn, bread dough and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of corn and bread dough with a smooth finish.

Aroma is slightly dirty malts/grains. The flavor is mild grain sweetness, slightly dirty, a hint of cider and a beery finish.

Not terrible. The nose is grain malt. The beer is golden with no head. Sweet with grainy grass notes. Light and fizzy with no lingering finish.

Dont get fancy rating this. Its just a solid pitt tradition. Tastes better than bud miller coors.. whatever premium you wanna stack it against. Refreshing, slightly malty and has nvr given me a hangover the next day, unlike bud especially.

Lager with a little bite at the end. A taste of Pittsburgh boy this one seems to have a lot of haters look at those low scores. Nothing fanct and not much in hops but it has some kind of bite at the end that is enjoyable. Drank a few throughout the past 12 years always tastes the same despite change in brewers . Its no Sam Adams lager or fancy micro but as a basic lager it works for me I would take it over a Bud or Miller any day Like Narragansett and Leinenkugel Original its a pretty decent lager. Picked up a single to enjoy will grab a 6 er sometime to mix in my beer assortment when I want a basic lager.

A lager only a mother could love. It’s a local version of the mass produced "beer" that’s popular on college campuses. But it’s perfect for the ballpark when you’re offering some constructive criticism to your divisional rivals or for reminiscing with friends about the good ol’ days if those days had anything to do with the ’burg.
