remember seeing this beer as a kid withthe pittsburgh steelers on the can Gold colour, poor head retention, a few tiny bubbles stuck to the edge of the glass then totally vanished. Aroma was corny, a little grain. Very light in the flavour dept, weak citrus note, thin malt and corn. Thin body, average carboantion. Corny grainy clinging aftertaste

Everyone in Pittsburgh somehow chokes this down a regular basis. Maybe the new brewer will do this beer some good, but this is light, watery, piss tasting beer. Not a good one.

Better than the light version, I have drank more of this than I’m proud of but will most likely not again.

Aluminum bottle shared with the guys at the Barrios’ 500th Swallow Tasting. Clear golden pour with no head. Weird Raspberry tart aroma note. Absurdly sweet fake corn flavor. Metallic penny. Very flat. Like a really bad euro strong lager, but without the alcohol, and goodness. I’d take a bud over this one any day.

Pours a golden body with a fading white head. Smells of sweet corn. Taste is sweet, corn, cardboard.

Pint. Pours clear yellow/gold with a small head. No lacing. Nose is weak..typical corn lager aroma. Taste is actually better than i expected. Very inoffensive, adjuncts are not overwhelming or pissy. I would take this any day of Bud, pabst, Coors, Miller or any of the typical crap macros.

Iron City is a taste that is either acquired or inherited. In my case it was the latter. I liked it from the first sip and I’m from Pittsburgh. It must be genetic. The smell is not exactly pleasant and the look is uninviting but its drinkability is great. I find it doesnt fill me up and is easy to throw a few back. Plus it is affordable.

Bottle. Poured a pale gold with a white head. Aroma is bland, some malts and hops. Flavor disappoints like the aroma, not much here.
