1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 Eructoblaster (2043) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 11, 2005
Average gold body with good carbonation and a thin white bubbly head. Fair malty/hoppy aroma with some flowery, herbal, and bready notes. Unexciting watery taste that carries some CO2 and metallic hints. Ends with an unpleasant metallic finish. The only cool thing with that beer is the bottle...

[Aluminium bottle from LCBO]
Nice, bright gold colour with some white wisps and a ring of fine bubbles. The aroma is a light, crisp noble hops with very little malt and a hint of metal can. The flavour is very clean and pleasant, but really not very existant. I would probably really enjoy this beer if it were a lot less watery. What little flavour exists just disappears at the end of the sample. Also, there should be a little more bitterness. Light body and medium carbonation.

Bottle. Extra points for the sweet-ass label. Keeps decent enough carbonation when poured, but looks pretty unexcitingly clear gold with a tiny white head. There are hops present, so it has that going for it. Unoffensive but not interesting.

Thanks to my co-worker Helen for bringing this back from Pittsburgh for me. Pours a very light yellow with a lot of visible carbonation and a proud snow white head. Aroma: Corn, malt some rubber(like the inside of a new plastic pencil case) and a tiny hint of unripe fruit. Flavour: Sweet, some definite corn notes, light malt, slight metallic finish. Not great but would drink it over say - Budweiser any day! Thanks Helen :-)

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2006 So I forgot to put this in after the Superbowl, when we decided to drink a Pittsburgh beer to cheer on the Steelers. I will say that the evening was not highlighted by the beer, but that the team seemed to do something noteworthy every time one of these was opened. It kind of became a double-dog-dare-you type of eveing with these baddies, but the Steelers did pull it off... Couldn’t figure out how to put that in my ranking, so I didn’t. Basically a mediocre corn beer. Looks like a corn beer, smells like a corn beer, bubbles like a corn beer, tastes like a corn beer. There is a decidedly unpleasant aftertaste that really made it tough to love. A little bit of the skunky taste was present in each and every can. Not recommended... unless the Steelers make the Superbowl again and you think that your drink selection might have some influence on the outcome of the game.

I gave it a few extra points for the cool metal bottle. Unfortunately they filled the cool can with another palllid macro-swill. No appreciable aroma, flavor or finish that I would care to comment on.

Very clear straw with a white bubbly head. Minimal malt aroma. Flavor is adjuncty but not too bad (at least compared to my expectations).Light fizzy body. Thanks Dan! (I guess)

Pours light clear golden with a fully receding white head. Aroma of corn, cereal malts, cider, DMS. Taste is bland, mostly unoffensive, still bad. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. If I’m drinking PA swill, it’s at least going to be a Yuengling. .
