1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 wilkie (1209) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - DEC 11, 2005
Bottle/can not erally sure. Typical pale lager, golden color, faint aroma of some kind of malt. Watery, tasteless and otherwise lame. Just not very good. Packaging was cool, and maybe worth purchasing--but only once.

Wanna hear a good joke? Here goes.... "Iron City beer is a wonderful premium lager." Now wasn’t that funny? The pour has a fizzled out head with no retention nor lacing. It looks straw into the glass. The nose is a "spot on" trio of corn, skunks and burning tires. The flavors have lots of cheap sweetness, reminiscent of American Macro swill, with a touch of something that tries to make the hops build a more well-rounded brew. The finish doesn’t really exist, the body is sparse, the mouthfeel is watery with no texture. If anything separates this from a cheap macro, it’s by a thin margin. This is quite honestly a marketing ploy..... in the "cool" insulated metal bottles. Oh yeah, remember my joke at your next party.

Mmmmm... can at Redlight. I might have shotgunned this one, as I have the tendency to do that to pale lagers. I’m sure this tasted just like the rest of them out there, but it went down so fast, and so cold, that I can’t really remember. I’m just writing this to get the tick and it was in my book.

On tap at TGI Friday's at Pittsburgh International Airport. Clear golden color with little or no head. Light aroma. Crisp, watered down, typical American Standard. Nothing overly special about this beer.

This beer pours off amber with a minmal head. It is a classic that has lost its way or has it. I had no complaints and for the price....good for over indudging!

Golden colour. White quick to go head. Musty adjunct ridden corn aroma and flavour. Sweet grossness. Dry palate. Not a very good beer in anyway.

10/20/06: Pale lager from Steeler Country, had this many times in the past sampled a single for old times sake. Corny light scent, light gold pour minimal white head, crisp yet watery on the palate, typical swill taste. Blue collar beer for sure, used to be able to get this at one of my college hang outs for 50 cents a can.

Not as bad as some same. Very light in color, head lasteed about 2 seconds out of the bottle. Typical usa mass produced brew. Easy to drink and open another!
