1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 Guinness4Duff (515) - Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA - JUL 19, 2008
Bottle. I used to drink this frequently back in my PA days, but I found it in FL so heres my rating. Clear straw colored pour with a decent white head. Aroma is mostly just grainy with a little hop presence. Has a grainy malty flavor, a little bit like rice crispies. Not great but alot better than the big guys AB, Coors, and MGD. Non offensive and easy drinking.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 rayg1 (509) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 5, 2006
This beer is to be blunt not good. Not worth it if you are going to go this cheap on beer, I think PBR is better. No head, pale yellow, and tasted kinda metallic. I honestly just drank this with a girl I picked up because she was hot and I just ordered what she had.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 twindadplus2 (504) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 23, 2005
Aluminum bottle. Pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of grains and grass. Flavor of corn and sweetener with a slight hint of malt. Even has a bit of hops bitterness in the finish. For the price, not bad but certainly nothing special.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Kalli (502) - Falun, SWEDEN - DEC 27, 2003
This stuff looks very carbonated. Nothing special otherwise, just another average looing lager. Aroma reminds me of hops mixed with detergent. Not pleasant tasting really, but not nearly as watery as I expected. Not that I it had my thinking malt or hops...
Taste is strangely stale. No ingredient list on the can, but I'm guessing lots of corn and by now I'm smelling it too.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 flemdawg (502) - Naples, Florida, USA - MAY 29, 2004
Shared this can with Silphium at thedm and hotsuff’s place. Um, thanks for this one Matt. Golden in color with a monstous initial white head that died to nothing very quickly. A hint of malts and hops in the aroma along with a touch of fruitiness. But the corn and other "good" stuff dominates. Ditto for the flavor, corn, rice, and the mearest of hops and malts. I could actually drink more than one of these at a time, but I don’t think I would respect myself in the morning.
1.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Crash (501) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - JAN 12, 2004
Not really any smell. Orange in appearance with no head or lacing. An ok light beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 nike (500) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 27, 2011
A Pittsburgh tradition. Synopsis with Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. This brewery started many “firsts” in the beer industry. For example, snap top can, draught beer in a can, they used local sports teams on the beer cans, first light beer (Mark V), aluminum bottle, reseal able cap on bottle, and first malt (Hop-n-Gator). Not bad. The beer is not bad either. Try one!
